The Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame is proud to announce its inductees for 2025, honouring distinguished individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the Portuguese-Canadian community and beyond. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at Camões Square at 722 College Street and Crawford in Toronto.
This year’s inductees embody the spirit of excellence, dedication, and community service that the Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame stands for. Their achievements span various fields, including arts and culture, sport, business and community leadership.
2025 Inductees
- Albino Fernandes da Silva – Cultural entrepreneur focused on cuisine. Owner of Chiado and other establishments.
- Maria Barcelos – Executive Director of The Gatehouse, dedicated to healing those who suffer mental health challenges.
- José M. Eustaquio – President of the Alliance of Portuguese Clubs and Associations of Ontario.
- First Portuguese Canadian Cultural Centre – Builders Category – Pioneered Luso Canadian culture for the past 60 years, always honoring their roots. Knowledge and compassion are at the heart of their mission.
The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM and is open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate these outstanding individuals and learn more about their inspiring journeys.
The Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame continues to recognize and celebrate the diverse accomplishments of Portuguese Canadians, fostering pride and inspiring future generations.

A Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame tem o prazer de anunciar os seus homenageados para 2025, distinguindo indivíduos que fizeram contribuições notáveis para a comunidade luso-canadiana e além. A cerimónia de indução terá lugar no sábado, dia 31 de maio de 2025, na Praça Camões, localizada no número 722 da College Street com a Crawford, em Toronto.
Os homenageados deste ano incorporam o espírito de excelência, dedicação e serviço comunitário que o Passeio da Fama Luso-Canadiano representa. As suas conquistas abrangem várias áreas, incluindo as artes e a cultura, o desporto, os negócios e a liderança comunitária.
Homenageados de 2025
- Albino Fernandes da Silva – Empreendedor cultural focado na gastronomia. Proprietário do Chiado e de outros estabelecimentos.
- Maria Barcelos – Diretora Executiva da The Gatehouse, dedicada a ajudar pessoas que enfrentam desafios de saúde mental.
- José M. Eustáquio – Presidente da Aliança de Clubes e Associações Portuguesas de Ontário.
- Primeiro Centro Cultural Luso-Canadiano – Categoria Construtores – Pioneiros da cultura luso-canadiana nos últimos 60 anos, sem nunca esquecerem as raízes do seu percurso. O conhecimento e a compaixão estão na base da sua existência.
A cerimónia terá início às 16h00 e será aberta ao público. Os participantes terão a oportunidade de celebrar estes indivíduos excecionais e conhecer mais sobre os seus percursos inspiradores.
O Passeio da Fama Luso-Canadiano continua a reconhecer e a celebrar as diversas conquistas dos canadianos de origem portuguesa, promovendo o orgulho e inspirando as gerações futuras.
