2023 Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame Inductees
Os luso-canadianos estão a celebrar 70º aniversário da chegada dos primeiros imigrantes oficiais ao Canadá. Ao chegarem ao cais 21 em Halifax, no navio Saturnia, em 13 de maio de 1953, começou uma nova era para os corajosos portugueses, que decidiram deixar a sua pátria.
Gerações após a primeira chegada, admiramos a tenacidade com que esta terra foi abraçada pelos portugueses e após 70 anos de árduo trabalho e sacrifício, os resultados falam muito sobre quem somos.
O Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame honra os luso-canadianos e reconhece as suas contribuições para a sociedade. Agora no seu 11º ano, após um processo de votação completo e imparcial, o Conselho de Administração elegeu os candidatos para 2023.
A cerimónia será no dia 13 de maio de 2023, na Camoes Square, 722 College St, Toronto, por volta das 15:00 horas.

Portuguese Canadians are celebrating the 70’” anniversary of the arrival of the first official immigrants to Canada. As they arrived at pier 21 in Halifax in the ship Saturnia on may 13, 1953, a new era began for the brave Portuguese-that decided to leave their motherland.
Generations after the first arrival, we admire their tenacity with which this land was embraced by the Portuguese and after 70 years of hard work and sacrifice, the results speak volumes about who we are.
The Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame honours Portuguese Canadians and recognizes their contributions to society. Now on its 11’” year after a full and unbiased voting process, the Board of Directors has chosen the inductees for 2023. The induction ceremony will be on may 13”’, 2023, at Camões Square, 722 College St, Toronto, at about 3: 00pm.
